Gaither has always been inspired by singers like John Denver singing “It’s Good to Be Home Again” and Hank William singing, “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” And when he realized the lyrics had a good message about joy, reconciliations and God’s love, he thought it was fantastic. “It caught my attention and I said, ‘I love this,'” Gaither said. Gaither first got interested in music after he turned on the radio as a kid and heard a quartet singing. Gaither has won six Grammys for best gospel music for songs like “Because He Lives,” “He Touched Me,” “I’m a Promise, I’m a Possibility” and “Something Beautiful.” When he hears his songs sung back to him in a foreign language, he said it’s “pretty affirming to see that your songs have gone around the world.” “I grew up and that was the first music I heard people’s music blending together and it’s still really intriguing to me how that works.” “This will be a night of some pretty fantastic harmony,” Gaither said. The musician lineup will also include David Phelps, Wes Hampton and Adam Crabb. Gaither - a multi-Grammy award winning gospel singer - is bringing the Gaither Homecoming Tour to Loveland at 7 p.m. “Like when we go to Norway and have 8,000 Norwegians singing our songs back to us in their language, or we go to Brazil and they’re singing in their language,” said Bill Gaither in a phone interview.
